Wondering what else you do regularly and what tips or best practices you have?

I'm wondering if being more diligent with my axis when shooting is an important factor? I try to frame much looser with panos especially with interiors to try to prevent missing information when it comes to final crop. Gave up shooting anything with a lot of movement, discovering that anything with ocean waves and stitched panos aren't working out too well.Īlot of times there are multiple people in my panos, like in street scenes, so I try to wait for people to clear out of frames to avoid them ending up in multiple panels. I have started shooting with much more overlap, sometimes up to 50% overlap on the individual frames, this seems to help with better finished pictures almost eliminating ever seeing any mistakes in objects not lining up.

I'd like to get better with stitched panoramas, I've made some improvements through trial and error.įor interiors I've mostly gave up on shooting with superwide angle lenses due to distortions sticking to slightly wide angle only.įor landscapes many times I'll shoot in portrait aspect instead of landscapeįor interiors, even though my camera has a panorama mode that helps shoot all the frames with the same exposures, I've started shooting in manual mode which allows me to use my camera's built in perspective control, seems to have improved the results quite a bit. I typically stitch them with Microsoft Image Composer Editor and have recently started also doing them with Lightroom and comparing the results, each one sometimes is the winner for best choice.
